Analytical Credit Datasets (AnaCredit) comprises the collection of granular credit data based on harmonised ECB statistical reporting requirements.

The financial crisis showed that aggregate statistics are not sufficient for an adequate understanding of the underlying developments, given that a number of economic and financial indicators have diverged significantly across different segments of the economy, such as sectors of activity, firm size or geographical areas.

The AnaCredit dataset will fill this data gap supporting the ECB in performing its central banking and banking supervision functions, such as

  • monetary policy analysis and operations
  • risk management
  • financial stability
  • economic research
  • statistics

AnaCredit makes it possible to identify, aggregate and compare credit exposures and to detect associated risks on a loan-by-loan basis.

The project was initiated in 2011 and data collection is scheduled to start in September 2018.

The ECB regulation contains requirements at national discretion which are detailed by the national central banks for their respective jurisdiction.

XML Authority’s schema library contains AnaCredit schema implementations for different European jurisdictions.

XML Authority’s schema library contains all the schema files that are technically necessary to create and validate XML files to regulators such as the Bundesbank and Central Bank of Ireland.

XML Authority’s schema library contains all three implementation phases and can be used to generate CPRD – Counterparty Reference Data, ECB AnaCredit Templates (ACR1B  & ACR2B – Credit Data ) and National Templates.

Schema Presentation

XML Authority’s intuitive user interface makes producing valid AnaCredit XML filings easy with little or no training.

The ECB regulation and extensive local implementation guidance can be difficult to interpret. Using XML Authority’s simple presentation of the schema as a set of forms and tables, a detailed understanding of the data requirements can be gained at a glance.

Reports can be further simplified by eliminating non-relevant sections using the Schema Masking functionality.

Easly hide non-mandatory elements (individual reporting elements or entire report sections) which not only simplifies the schema layout but also reduces the complexity of your required import data.

Integrate to Data in Excel or Relational Database

Save time and reduce errors by importing data from XML Authority generated Microsoft Excel import templates or linking to data in relational databases.

Create a set of related tables from which to read data which conform to the AnaCredit Reporting schema using database scripts generated by XML Authority itself.

Be assured that your data is in compliance with the requirements of the AnaCredit schema through XML Authority’s validation functionality.

Get real-time feedback on the validity of data input and use the interactive Validations panel to help find and navigate to issues which would cause rejection at your local Tax Authority’s submission gateway.
